Brighton Beach in Brooklyn was named "Little Odessa" due to many of its residents having emigrated to the US after the Siege of Odessa (Ukraine) in 1941. It is today one of the largest Russian communities outside Moscow. As if the ocean would bring memories and objects from their past, the beach becomes a space for meditation and exploration in time.
